Supporting You & Your Team.
Personal Coaching
Personal Coaching is about YOU. It focuses upon your desired agenda for personal improvement. The 1:1 relationship with your coach will help you to connect with both your values and beliefs to ensure that your achievement aims support your values and beliefs system.

Connecting with your values and beliefs still applies if you are seeking professional improvement through a coaching process. If you are engaged in a career that you are both committed to and connected with, your values and beliefs are - potentially - a key determining factor in your decision-making processes.
Coaching needs you to be open to change and prepared to push beyond your comfort zone; after all, without looking at something differently how will you realise the achievements that you want for yourself?
Coaching will help you achieve clarity: focus energy appropriately, challenge your thinking and enable you to consider your options, so that you establish the most appropriate goals and gain the rewards that you seek.
I recognises that you are the person best placed to determine and drive your development. What you seek is someone that can structure and support this process, enabling you to increase your levels of effectiveness, productivity & creativity. You deserve to reap the benefits that engaging with a coach can bring.
Session Structure:
Following a FREE CONSULTATION you choose to select either a 3 or 6 month coaching commitment, usually between 6-12 fortnightly sessions. You may decide to meet weekly initially and then choose twice-monthly sessions - the timescale is flexible and designed to meet your individual requirements.
Team Coaching
Team Coaching is about COHESION. It focuses upon an agenda for improvement that can have both professional and personal elements. The group coaching arrangement will help participants to connect with the aims and values of the team and to determine improvement that empowers, motivates and guides everyone within the process.

Vision and Mission statements, strategic planning and departmental change are all driven by a determination to improve - improvements that should be determined efficiently and enable effective, sustainable change.
Coaching needs every member of your team to be accepting of the challenge and prepared to push the boundaries. Better outcomes, requires fresh perspectives, cooperation, trust, motivation and a willingness to adapt and change.
Coaching will help your team to gain clarity through key messages and approaches that every team member can embrace. Outcomes are team focussed and the approach is designed to ensure that everyone accepts responsibility for their role in the process.

Workshops
Example workshop sessions include:
-
Workload prioritisation - detail versus big picture to plan with greater effectiveness
-
Flexible to change - becoming more adaptable in the workplace and comfortable with it
-
A vision for whose future? - articulate the 'what', the'why' and the 'who for' of your strategy
-
Career progression - laying the foundations for a successful future
-
Self-management in an inspection process - communicate your message with conviction

Sessions are planned and delivered according to the specific requirements for your team. Workshops are not necessarily coaching sessions; they will explore the topics you want to gain greater insight into, however, there is a coaching approach designed to draw out your thinking.

Workshops are run at your work premises which require a suitably-sized space for the number of participants. Sessions are interactive, not chalk and talk, and space is required for a 'break-out' area.
Team Behaviour
Understanding an individual's personality is a vital part of effective leadership and management. The DISC Personality Profiling System is widely used throughout industry as a mechanism to help unlock the people puzzle - why people behave in the manner that they do. The DISC acronym stands for Dominant, Influencing, Steady & Compliant and is the beginning to gaining an insight into behavioural traits.

DISC profiling will enable you and your team to:
-
Develop greater self-awareness as you recognise what stimulates your motivation, your response in conflict situations, your response to stressors and your preferred style for solving problems;
-
Recognise the styles and communication preferences of others to gain an improved understanding of them;
-
Begin to adapt to the communication style of others' creating more effective relationships;
-
Demonstrate more effective management through an improved level of understanding;
-
Increase the effectiveness of the team and achieve greater productivity as a result of improved communication;
-
Demonstrate greater adaptability as an effective leader in the workplace.

If using DISC as part of a recruitment process, it can provide a wonderfully detailed insight into the prospective employee even before the relationship has begun.

Recruitment
The DiSC Personality & Behaviour Profiling tool is extremely beneficial as part of your organisations recruitment and selection process. By electing to profile shortlisted candidates DISC can inform you as to the natural workplace behaviours and characteristics of each candidate - there's no wrong or right 'type' but you know what type of person you need to fulfill a particular role in your organisation according to the dynamics of the existing team.

For example: do you require a fast-paced and dynamic individual, or a more moderately-paced and reflective person? What does your knowledge of the role and the personality mix of your team suggest is the type of person that can benefit the organisation at this time?

Profiling candidates is organised and administered in accordance with the arrangements for your recruitment and selection process. The profile can be completed in advance of scheduled interviews and each candidates outcomes can be shared with an interview panel, in advance of, or during the interview process, subject to availability.
Speaking
My coaching expertise and knowledge of DISC Behaviour Profiling can be incorporated into a presentation. Examples relating to key messages include:

-
Setting aspirational targets within realistic timescales in order to achieve meaningful change
-
Understanding how you 'think' and recognising when to challenge the thoughts that surpress new thinking
-
Resilience Required - Apply Within: By looking inside yourself you can access the tools you need for change
-
Big Picture versus Small Detail, Proactive versus Reactive, Sameness versus Difference: Which are you?
-
How Weaknesses can become your Strengths and Threats can create new Opportunities

Topics for discussion are agreed in consultation with the organiser to determine the messages and learning that you are looking for.
